Alps

The Alps – After making the trek from Vienna through Eisenstadt and then into the Alps, we had a full day to do our own thing. We all headed out at about 10am and some people went one way, others went another way and some people even stayed in? Not really sure what they were thinking because this was definitely one of the best days of the trip. Marcos, Ryan and I branched off on our own and made quick work of the hiking. We were headed to the Habsburgerhaus which was a couple hours away. On our way, we stopped and made a little California art by grabbing a bunch of stones and placing them of the side of a little hill on top of the mountain, it was a pretty big “CA.” After that we ended up at the Habsburgerhaus and within 10 minutes or so, everybody else that we split away from arrived and we sat down and enjoyed some good food and wine. In addition, there were a couple local boys that had some instruments and played some pretty cool music. We left the Habsburgerhaus and hiked back a different was, almost climbing down the mountain and then all the way back up. We lost one guy out on the trails, but he finally made it back and then we were all set for dinner and more drinks!
